The key event of May was Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s first visit to Ukraine, where she met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. She also attended the opening of the International Summit of Cities and Regions, met with the leadership of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, delivered a lecture at the Kyiv School of Economics, visited the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and Prypiat, and honored the memory of fallen Belarusians. The Mission of Democratic Belarus in Ukraine was officially opened.
At the same time, efforts continued to secure the release of political prisoners and support their families, strengthen international coordination, and develop practical tools to assist Belarusians abroad.

- Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, and the Speaker of the Seimas, Juozas Olekas.
- The 5th Conference of the Belarusian Diaspora took place in Warsaw.
- The Third Congress on Political Prisoners in Belarus #WithoutJustCause was held in Vilnius.
- The Council of Europe Information Point for the Belarusian People opened in Vilnius.
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya participated in the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan. She met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the country’s Foreign Minister, Ararat Mirzoyan; as well as the President of France, Emmanuel Macron; the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney; and the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico.
- Ms. Tsikhanouskaya visited Stockholm. She met with Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa, and the State Secretary at the Ministry, Diana Janse.
- Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya held a call with the US Special Envoy to Belarus, John Coale, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Christopher Smith.
