    SOLIDARITY RALLIES FOR ANDREI HNIOT
    Belarusian diasporas organized worldwide solidarity actions in support of Andrei Hniot, who faces extradition to Belarus from Serbia. The events took place ahead of the appeal court hearing scheduled for August 27. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office is working on this case and fully supports Andrei Hniot in his fight for freedom.

    STATEMENT ON ARMENIA
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya strongly condemned Lukashenka’s derogatory remarks towards Armenia and emphasized Belarusians’ support for the Armenian people and commitment to strengthening ties and long-term cooperation.

    AUDIT RESULTS
    Moore Mackonis UAB conducted an independent audit of the financial operations of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office for 2023 and presented a report. The audit was carried out according to international standards and Lithuanian law and found no violations.

    INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN FUND
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Chief Advisor, Franak Viacorka, released a video speaking about the International Humanitarian Fund to support the repressed in Belarus. He explained who will be eligible for assistance, who will be in charge of the fund, and whether Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office will be able to influence the fund’s operations.

    BELARUS’ INDEPENDENCE DAY
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated Belarusians on Independence Day as August 25 marked 33 years since Belarus officially proclaimed independence. She addressed Belarusian officials and the military, emphasizing: “Regardless of your views, positions, and duties, remember. Independence is the highest value and the greatest achievement of our people. Do not allow the regime to drag our nation into war”.

    UKRAINE’S INDEPENDENCE DAY
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated Ukrainians on their country’s Independence Day, stressing that no Russian aggression can defeat the Ukrainian people.

    EU BANK ACCOUNTS
    Many Belarusians living abroad face difficulties in opening bank accounts. People’s Embassies released a detailed guide on what to do if an EU bank denies one opening an account, explaining where to seek help and what laws to refer to.

    BALTIC WAY 35TH ANNIVERSARY
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated the people of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia on the 35th anniversary of the Baltic Way and thanked them for supporting the Belarusian people’s struggle for freedom and justice.

    CAMPUS POLSKA
    Tsikhanouskaya participated in the annual Campus Polska event, where participants, including notable figures from around the world, discuss current issues related to politics, security, culture, education, and civil society.

    2025 ELECTION IN BELARUS
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Constitutional Reform, Anatoli Liabedzka, explained in an interview with Novy Chas why the regime is rushing to conduct the 2025 campaign and spoke on how the democratic forces view it.

    ADDRESS TO MEDICAL WORKERS
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed the state of Belarusian healthcare amidst a new surge in COVID-19 cases. She thanked medical workers in Belarus for their vital work, acknowledging their daily challenges and addressing the ongoing issues.

    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya gave interviews to Polska Agencja Prasowa and Polskie Radio (Poland). She was quoted in Kyiv Post (Ukraine) and Zerkalo (Belarus).
