Representatives of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office and the United Transitional Cabinet participated in the 11th International Congress of Belarusian Studies, which took place in Gdansk, Poland, on September 22-24. It was attended by Senior Political Advisor to Ms. Tsikhanouskaya, Alexander Dabravolski, Advisor for the Constitutional Reform and Interparliamentary Cooperation, Anatoli Liabedzka, Advisor on Education and Science, Tatiana Shchyttsova, Press Secretary of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Anna Krasulinа, and Representative of the United Transitional Cabinet for National Revival, Alina Koushyk.
The congress included a two-hour panel discussion, during which the draft Constitution of New Belarus and draft laws to supplement it were presented. “The closer the end of dictatorship, the higher the demand for a vision of the new Belarus”, noted Anatoli Liabedzka. Alexander Dabravolski and Alina Koushyk took part in the roundtable discussion “Lessons of Polish Solidarity for the Belarusian Revolution”, while Tatiana Shchyttsova moderated the discussion “Belarusian Education under Threat: What International Academia Needs to Change to Produce Better Knowledge about Belarus?”.
