  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya joined the Foro La Toja in Spain

    October 01, 2026

    From October 1 to 3, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is taking part in the Foro La Toja, a forum bringing together political leaders, business representatives, diplomats, and intellectuals. This year’s theme is “A World in Disarray”, with discussions focusing on the crisis of the international order, the rise of authoritarianism, the growth of artificial intelligence, and European security. Given the seniority of its participants and its closed, intimate format, the forum is often referred to as the “Spanish Davos”.

    The forum is a rare platform that brings together heads of state, senior politicians, and leading experts. This year’s participants include:

    • King Felipe VI of Spain;
    • Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Spain;
    • Josep Borrell, former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs;
    • former presidents and prime ministers of Spain and Portugal,
    • representatives of OpenAI, Palantir, Harvard, Cambridge, Telefónica, and Politico.

    Belarus will have a dedicated 45-minute session, “Belarus: Quiet Resistance”, on October 3, featuring Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and Josep Borrell.

    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “It matters that Belarus is represented at such platforms as a full-fledged participant and part of the broader European conversation. We are discussing the future of democracy alongside the challenges of security, war, and technology. The voices of Belarusians fighting for their freedom and European future will be heard where decisions affecting the entire region are being made”.
