    MEETING IN THE LITHUANIAN SEIMAS
    An extended meeting of the Cross-Party Parliamentary Group “For a Democratic Belarus” took place in the Lithuanian Seimas. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and representatives of the democratic forces of Belarus joined it to discuss support for political prisoners, Belarusian-language education, the legal status of Belarusian volunteer fighters in Ukraine, and possible agreements and statements on partnership and respect for national identity.

    STATEMENT ON POLISH ELECTION RESULTS
    After Poland concluded its 2025 presidential election, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated newly elected President Karol Nawrocki: “I offer my sincere congratulations to Karol Nawrocki! I am confident that together with the newly elected president of Poland, we will build equally strong and productive relations”.

    OFFLINE PRESENTATION OF THE LUSTRATION CONCEPT
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office continues to present the Lustration Concept for Belarus, offering a new approach to institutional renewal in light of the ongoing repression. Public discussion of the document is still ongoing.

    Advisors Alexander Dabravolski and Anatoli Liabedzka addressed questions about the necessity of lustration, its format, target categories, and international experience in a live stream on YouTube.

    The first offline presentation of the Concept also took place in Estonia.

    FOOTBALL MATCH IN SUPPORT OF IMPRISONED JOURNALISTS
    Lithuanian MPs and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office held a friendly football match in Vilnius to show support for journalists in Belarus who have been imprisoned simply for telling the truth.

    ROUNDTABLE ON LOCAL GOVERNANCE LEGISLATION
    A roundtable on local self-governance reform was held at the Representation of  Democratic Belarus in Estonia. Participants discussed the experience of Estonia, Belgium, and the USA, key lessons learned, and agreed to have local experts review the draft law prepared for democratic Belarus.

    CDBIO PLENARY SESSION
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Youth Policy and Students, Marharyta Vorykhava, visited Strasbourg to take part in the plenary session of the Steering Committee for Human Rights in the fields of Biomedicine and Health. She contributed to the drafting of a Council of Europe Recommendation on Peace Education, advocating for the inclusion of Belarus as an example of systemic exclusion of youth from education and civic life.

    MONTHLY RECAP
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office released the monthly recap for May, summarizing key events, new research, and notable achievements of Belarusian democratic community activists and NGOs.

    SUMMER CULTURAL EVENTS
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office compiled a list of six notable cultural events held by Belarusian teams this summer.

    MEDIA
    Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya gave interviews and comments to BBC Outlook (International), Zerkalo (Belarus), Radyio Svaboda (Belarus), Hudson Institute, Hudson.org (USA), and Euractiv (International).
