    INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION FOR A BELARUSIAN CITIZEN IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC 

    A Belarusian citizen has been granted international protection in the Czech Republic after more than two years of waiting, an initial rejection by the Ministry of the Interior, and a successful court appeal. The court ultimately recognized the applicant’s right to international protection, and he was granted protected status for ten years. Throughout the process, he received support from the Office of Belarus Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic, Czech lawyers, the BYSOL Foundation, and the local Belarusian community. 

    CZECH SENATE’S RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF DEMOCRATIC BELARUS

    On July 9, the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic adopted a resolution in support of Belarus’s democratic forces and called on the Czech Government to continue supporting Belarusians. The resolution was introduced by the Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Security, Pavel Fischer.

    3RD WOMEN’S POLITICAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

    The 3rd Women’s Political Leadership Academy will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from September 13 to 18. The program is organized by the Office of Belarus Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic and the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, with the support of the Prague Office of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. Applications are open until August 13.
