The 3rd Women’s Political Leadership Academy will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from September 13 to 18, 2026. The Academy is organized by the Office of Belarus Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic and the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, with the support of the Prague Office of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.
The Academy is an intensive one-week training program focused on personal development, structured around thematic modules. The program combines inspiring meetings with prominent women in Czech politics and diplomacy with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including:
- political science and political ideologies: viewing Belarus from a European perspective;
- effective communication: public speaking and advocacy strategies;
- conflict management: facilitating discussions and political debates;
- political branding: building a personal brand through social media;
- resilience under pressure and security in political environments;
- fundamentals of diplomatic protocol.
Eligibility requirements:
- Belarusian women (by citizenship or self-identification in the case of another citizenship);
- legal residence outside Belarus with the ability to travel to the Czech Republic;
- a valid travel document (passport or equivalent);
- previous experience in political or civic activism;
- availability to attend the entire program in person (September 13–18, 2026);
- willingness to work in groups and participate in networking activities.
In the case of equally strong applications, priority will be given to women currently residing in the Visegrád Group countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia), as well as women who have experienced political imprisonment. However, applicants from all countries and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Sessions and meetings will be held in Belarusian, Russian, Czech, and English. Consecutive interpretation will be provided for sessions conducted in Czech.
Travel, accommodation, and meals during the program will be fully covered by the Office of Belarus Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic.
