The Belarusian leader is currently in Davos, Switzerland, participating in the World Economic Forum. During the forum, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya holds high-level meetings with presidents, ministers, and leaders of major corporations and companies, addressing the Belarusian issue.
🇭🇺 In a dialogue with the President of Hungary, Katalin Novák, the leader talked about international support for Belarus. For example, she called for more active steps to assist civil society, respond to human rights violations in Belarus, and hold representatives of the Lukashenka regime accountable. She also asked Hungary to adhere to the EU’s common policy towards Belarus.
🇺🇦 After participating in a discussion within the WEF main program, the Belarusian leader had a conversation with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya expressed words of support for the Ukrainian people. The politicians exchanged views on mutual cooperation and possible collaboration.
🇪🇨 Additionally, the Belarusian leader met with the Foreign Minister of Ecuador, Gabriela Sommerfeld. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya mentioned that Belarus’ democratic forces strive for more active cooperation with Latin American countries, inviting Ecuador to contribute to this collaboration.
