PRACTICAL OUTCOMES OF LUXEMBOURG SOLUTIONS
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office released a summary of the recommendations provided in the document “The Luxembourg Solutions: Outcomes and Perspectives”. This is an official document released by the Council of Europe, that contains recommendations for national parliaments. For Belarusians, it can be a practical tool for cooperation with parliaments and MPs of all PACE member countries.
REGISTRATION OF BELARUSIAN VEHICLES IN LATVIA
Vitaly Malchanau, who represents Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office in Estonia and Latvia, announced that the Latvian Saeima allowed Belarusian citizens with refugee or alternative status to register their vehicles without certification and customs clearance for up to three years.
INTERNSHIPS IN THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office shared an announcement made by the Contact Group of the Council of Europe for Belarus. Six-month internships are available to Belarusians in four different CoE bodies in Strasbourg.
SALT – EU4Belarus
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Education and Science, Tatiana Shchyttsova, took part in a meeting of the Joint Steering Committee of SALT (Support to Advanced Learning and Training – EU4Belarus). As a result of the meeting, a new scholarship competition for Belarusians will be announced in the spring of 2025.

FATHER’S DAY
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya released an address on Father’s Day, a recently established holiday in Belarus. She wished Belarusians for all fathers to be with their families, and not separated by the dictatorial regime, as is happening today.

Streamline, a major private foreign language school based in Minsk, was announced to be closing. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Education and Science, Tatiana Shchyttsova, released a statement condemning the regime’s policies.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office compiled a list of events that will be held all over the world to honor the memory of prominent Belarusians executed by the Soviet regime on October 29-30, 1937.
