    VISIT TO UKRAINE

    On May 25–26, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya made her first visit to Kyiv. She met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and the Foreign Ministry delegation, officially opened the Mission of Democratic Belarus in Ukraine, spoke at the International Summit of Cities and Regions, met with the leadership of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, delivered a lecture at the Kyiv School of Economics, visited the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and Prypiat, honored the memory of fallen Belarusians, and paid tribute at memorial sites on Maidan. She also visited the grave of Belarusian volunteer Maria Zaitseva and Heavenly Hundred hero Mikhail Zhyzneuski, as well as monuments to journalist Pavel Sheremet and writer Uladzimir Karatkevich. She joined Andrii Sybiha to lay flowers at Kyiv’s Wall of Remembrance.

    SUPPORT FOR BELARUSIANS IN UKRAINE

    On May 29, a meeting dedicated to supporting Belarusians in Ukraine took place at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Participants discussed the key challenges faced by Belarusians in Ukraine, including documents and legal status, and support for Belarusian volunteer fighters. They also explored possible legislative solutions and ways to strengthen coordination with Ukraine’s executive authorities.

    VISIT TO THE NETHERLANDS

    On May 27–29, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the Netherlands, where she met with the country’s new Prime Minister, Rob Jetten. The discussions focused on support for Ukraine and Belarus, assistance to independent media and civil society, and the possible participation of the Netherlands in the International Humanitarian Fund. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya spoke at the Next Gen: Security Conference, where she highlighted the connection between Europe’s security and the future of Belarus and called for continued support for Ukraine.

    NEW PRYTULIAI MIANE SHELTER IN WARSAW

    On May 30, a new home for the Prytuliai Miane shelter was officially opened in Warsaw. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya attended the event and expressed her gratitude and congratulations. The Prytuliai Miane Foundation supports Belarusians in difficult circumstances in Warsaw. It was founded by political refugee Hanna Fedaronak and former political prisoner Alesia Bunevich.

    FREE BELARUS SALON AT THE WARSAW INFORMATIONAL BOOK FAIR

    On May 31, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the Free Belarus Salon at the Warsaw International Book Fair, organized by independent Belarusian publishers in exile who continue to publish Belarusian books and preserve the country’s language and culture despite repression. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya visited the booths and explored new publications by Belarusian authors living in exile.
