Independent Belarusian publishers in exile have come together at the Free Belarus Salon at the Warsaw International Book Fair. Participants include Gutenberg Publisher, Andrei Yanushkevich Publishing, Mianie Niama, Vesna Books, and others. Despite all challenges, they continue to publish Belarusian books and preserve the Belarusian language and culture.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the booths and explored new publications by Belarusian authors living in exile.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “I am deeply grateful to everyone who keeps going. These people publish books in exile — and that is more than just a job; it is an act of dedication. As long as Belarusian books exist, the Belarusian spirit lives on”.
