Yesterday marked the Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Belarus. Across various countries and cities around the world, Belarusians held events in support of those unjustly imprisoned. Numerous Western governments, international politicians, and diplomats also joined the events and spoke in support of political prisoners in Belarus.

🇪🇺 The European Parliament issued a separate statement on the Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Belarus:
“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to a sovereign, free, and democratic Belarus. Until that day arrives, the voices of those imprisoned for defending fundamental rights and democratic values must not be forgotten. We urge the Lukashenka regime to immediately cease its repression and unconditionally release and rehabilitate all political prisoners. We will continue to work closely with EU Member States, EU institutions, and international partners to achieve this goal”.
Every international representative is a voice for an independent Belarus. These are clear signs that political prisoners in Belarus are remembered and that Belarusians are not alone in their struggle for the release of all those imprisoned for truth and love for their country.
