During a closed meeting, the Belarusian leader and Natallia Pinchuk discussed personal matters regarding their husbands, Siarhei Tsikhanouski and Ales Bialiatski. They also discussed ways to secure the release of political prisoners and how the international community could help in this regard.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “I am impressed by Natallia’s resilience and courage. I am grateful to her for the warm meeting, support, and the opportunity to share our common pain. After our conversation, I was once again convinced of how important it is to continue to speak out about political prisoners and support them and their families in every possible way. No matter how difficult it may be, we must continue working – for the sake of both our loved ones and all Belarusians who, like Siarhei and Ales, are behind bars”.
