Today, the Belarusian leader arrived in Davos, Switzerland, to participate for the second time in the world’s largest economic forum. She will meet with the people shaping the global agenda – ministers, presidents, as well as leaders of major corporations and tech companies.
“We will be looking for new allies around the globe. We need to draw experience from the countries that have transitioned from dictatorship to democracy. I will ask for assistance in preparing reforms. We must develop a vision of Belarus after the dictatorship. Belarus can and will become an independent and prosperous country. These contacts will help us in the future to attract new investments into Belarus”, noted Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya.
During the meetings, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will address Belarus’s role in European security, ending the country’s participation in the war, and funding for Belarusian media, private businesses, and civic activists. Additionally, Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya will advocate for an international fund to support the repressed, former political prisoners, and their families.
