  • Belarusians around the world held solidarity rallies with Ukraine on the anniversary of the full-scale war

    February 26, 2026

On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale war against Ukraine, solidarity rallies took place around the world, with thousands of people taking to the streets to support Ukrainians in their struggle for freedom and independence.

Belarusians across the globe also joined the demonstrations – in Kyiv, Vilnius, Warsaw, Stockholm, Prague, Washington, and other cities – to support Ukrainians and remind the world that the Belarusian people stand against the war.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanks Belarusians who took part in the rallies:

“Ukraine has been living under full-scale war for four years. For four years, Ukrainians have defended their homes, their families, and their land every single day.

I sincerely want to thank the Belarusians who joined solidarity rallies around the world. Thank you for your courage, for your position, for not staying silent, and for showing that the Belarusian people stand with Ukraine. Every flag, every poster, every step in a march is an important sign of support and solidarity.

The Lukashenka regime has made Belarus complicit in the aggression, but the Belarusian people are not aggressors. From the very beginning, we have spoken out against the war and continue to do so – through volunteering, supporting initiatives, participating in rallies, and working every day for Ukraine’s victory.

Without a free Ukraine, there will be no safe Belarus. And we will stand with the Ukrainian people until victory and a just peace are achieved”.
