During her visit to Prague, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the Belarusian community in Czechia. The meeting brought together around 20 representatives of the Belarusian diaspora, civil society organizations, and various initiatives.
Participants discussed the Belarusian community’s activities in Czechia, possible cultural and public events, support for Belarusians in exile, and opportunities for further cooperation with Belarus’s democratic forces.
The discussion also focused on preserving Belarusian identity abroad, strengthening ties between the diaspora and Belarus’s democratic forces, and raising international awareness of the situation in Belarus.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked the participants for their active engagement, solidarity, and support for Belarusians:
“I am genuinely impressed by how strong, active, and united the Belarusian diaspora in Czechia is. You have so much energy, so many interesting initiatives, and such a strong desire to help one another and Belarus.
It means a great deal to me to see that, even far from home, Belarusians maintain their connection to Belarus, keep taking action, come together, and support those who need help most right now.
