On April 5, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya a had a call with the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly.
During the call, they discussed:
– The situation in Bucha. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya spoke about Illia Licvin, a Belarusian who died defending the city.
– Support for Ukraine and Belarusian volunteers. The national leader of Belarus noted that Belarusians in Ukraine suffer too.
– Independent Belarusian media and bloggers who need support to counter the regime’s and the Kremlin’s propaganda.
– Concerted actions in international organizations to bring the perpetrators to justice, including Lukashenka and his accomplices.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also spoke about the Anti-War Movement in Belarus and Belarusians’ resistance to the war.
