On March 25, Freedom Day, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya presented awards at her Office in Vilnius to outstanding individuals who contribute to a free and democratic Belarus. This event highlighted the importance of supporting activists and human rights principles, serving as an inspiration to all those fighting for freedom and justice.
The medal “For Distinguished Work for the Benefit of Belarus” was awarded for commitment to the interests of the Belarusian people, a significant contribution to Belarusian democracy and civil society, and consistent advocacy of democratic Belarus to:
- Vytis Jurkonis – Lithuanian political scientist, lecturer, Belarus expert, and Head of the Lithuanian office of Freedom House.
The Cross of Belarus Revival was awarded to:
- Siarhei Dubavets – Belarusian journalist, writer, critic, publisher, and public figure.
Several more individuals were awarded privately.
