Dr. Pavel Tereshkovich, a historian and anthropologist, has joined Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office as the new Advisor on Education and Science, succeeding Tatiana Shchyttsova.
Dr. Tereshkovich has worked in education for many years, teaching at the Belarusian State University, serving as Dean and Chair of the Senate at the European Humanities University, completing research fellowships in New York and Oxford, and authoring over a hundred academic publications.
In his role at Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, Dr. Pavel Tereshkovich will be responsible for:
- monitoring and analysis of key trends in Belarusian and global education and science;
- analytical materials: needs assessments, roadmaps, and reviews;
- public communications that reflect the positions of the democratic forces of Belarus on education and science issues;
- participation in grant and fellowship programs supporting Belarusian teachers and scholars;
- cooperation with educational institutions and initiatives;
- support for repressed academics and accountability for those responsible for repression in academia.
