During the Munich Security Conference, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the US Assistant Secretary of State, James O’Brien. They discussed the mechanisms of the USA–Belarus Strategic Dialogue and the upcoming appointment of a US special envoy for Belarus. The leader also called on the US to support the new Belarusian passport project.
During the meeting with the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Michał Szczerba, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed cooperation within the Assembly and thanked Mr. Szczerba for its unceasing support for democratic Belarus. The leader also urged him to support the creation of a group “For a Democratic Belarus” in the Polish Parliament and make a public statement on the non-recognition of the regime’s so-called “elections”.
