In memory of the victims of the Chornobyl disaster, the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya initiates the laying of flowers at the Chornobyl Mother Memorial in Vilnius. The event will be attended by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s team and foreign diplomats, Belarusian activists, representatives of civil society organizations, initiatives, and the media.
The event will be open! If you are in Vilnius, join the flower-laying ceremony on April 26 at 12:00 in Sapieha Palace Park in Vilnius.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “The tragedy at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant is a sorrow we all share. This catastrophe has left a strong mark on the countries of our region. It will never be forgotten by world history. We must not forget it either. To honor the memory of the victims of the disaster, I invite you to join the flower-laying ceremony, as well as other rallies and events commemorating the anniversary of the tragedy in your cities”.
