  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the “Depatriation” exhibition at the Free Belarus Museum in Warsaw

    June 15, 2026

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the new exhibition Depatriation, currently on display at the Free Belarus Museum in Warsaw.

The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the Belarusian protests, solidarity, and resistance. It features personal belongings of participants in protest marches and neighborhood initiatives, as well as protest symbols and items that had to be hidden during searches by the regime.

Speaking at the opening, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya emphasized the need to preserve the memory of recent events and thanked everyone who continues to work for the benefit of Belarus despite exile, persecution, and pressure. She noted that projects like this help maintain connections among Belarusians and serve as a reminder of what the struggle for freedom is about.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “In these difficult times that Belarus is going through, we must preserve solidarity, show empathy, stand together, and find allies. We must not forget our goal and what we are working for — a free Belarus. Sometimes the space for action is very limited, but we still have to do everything we can. And as long as we are able to support one another, as long as we have such strong people, Belarus lives on”.
