  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited A2 Print Belarusian store in Vilnius

    September 10, 2024

The Belarusian leader visited the A2 Print store, where she met with the project’s co-founder, former political prisoner Alesya Bunevich, and her partners. They shared the story of how the store was created, how they worked during Alesya’s imprisonment, and how they not only managed to keep the business going but also expanded it.

This year, the store began a collaboration with Aliaksandr Klachko, who used to fight against Russian aggression in Ukraine and now produces items under his own brand “Kus`”. Aliaksandr demonstrated the items to Sviatlana, part of the proceeds from which will be used to help retired volunteer figthers. Alesya Bunevich, in turn, shared her  personal experience, speaking about the difficulties women face in prison and showed the pink robe inmates get in the women’s prison.

The leader thanked everyone who continues to work on preserving Belarusian culture and supporting political prisoners and volunteer fighters in Ukraine.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Your place is so cozy, and you have so many beautiful items. I wish your project success. It’s so important to show that being Belarusian and fighting for a free Belarus is not only honorable but also fashionable!”
