The Belarusian leader, together with the United Transitional Cabinet’s Representative for Defense and National Security, Vadzim Kabanchuk, met in Vilnius with Jonas Oehman, the head of the Blue/Yellow organization.
Blue/Yellow is a Lithuanian charity organization that has been supporting Ukrainian military forces since 2014, providing them with equipment and humanitarian aid. Over the course of its time, Blue/Yellow has raised more than €96 million to support Ukraine. The funds have been used to purchase drones, radar systems, medical and tactical equipment, and vehicles.
During the meeting, the parties discussed:
– planning joint campaigns to raise aid for Ukrainian soldiers;
– support for Belarusian volunteers in Ukraine;
– further coordination between Belarusian democratic forces and Lithuanian civil society initiatives.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya:
“Supporting Ukraine is not just a moral obligation — it is our shared path to freedom. Lithuania is showing an example of solidarity, and we Belarusians are grateful for it. We are proud of the Belarusians who are standing alongside Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression — both on the frontlines and behind them. This meeting once again emphasized: the fight for freedom is a shared one. And it demands unity, solidarity, and consistent action.”
Many Belarusians living in Lithuania have already joined aid initiatives for Ukraine, volunteered their time, and delivered equipment to Belarusian units.
