Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, during the Euronest Congress. In the dialogue, the Belarusian leader expressed hope for closer cooperation between Armenia and democratic Belarus. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for his decision not to attend the CSTO summit in Minsk.
Representatives of Armenia informed Ms. Tsikhanouskaya that Belarusian citizen Yaraslau Novikau, who was detained at the request of Belarusian authorities, would ultimately be granted political asylum.
