During the European Political Community Summit in the United Kingdom, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the Prime Minister of Iceland, Bjarni Benediktsson.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Iceland has been one of the most active advocates for Belarus on the international stage. I was pleased to meet the Prime Minister of Iceland. I proposed that Iceland join the efforts to support political prisoners and informed him about the activities of the recently established international humanitarian fund. The families of political prisoners and those who are released must receive aid. We have proposals to Iceland regarding cultural cooperation and diplomatic initiatives, which I hope we will implement”.
