With former Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Linas Linkevičius, the Belarusian leader discussed the situation of political prisoners in Belarus and regional security. She also expressed gratitude for Lithuania’s decision not to impose additional restrictions on Belarusians.
With Magdalena Andersson, who is the current leader of the opposition, First Secretary of the Swedish Social Democratic Workers’ Party, and former Prime Minister of Sweden, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed Sweden’s policy vis-a-vis Belarus, as well as support for Belarusian political parties and trade unions.
In the Swedish Riksdag, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya met with the group “For a Democratic Belarus”. More than 20 MPs participated in the meeting. She urged them to conduct a campaign of solidarity with Swedish-Belarusian citizen Halina Krasnianskaya, as well as take patronage over political prisoners.
