  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with EU ambassadors and Ukraine’s international partners in Kyiv

    May 27, 2026

During her visit to Kyiv, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya addressed ambassadors and representatives of more than 20 countries from the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other international partners of Ukraine. The meeting took place with the support of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine.

The participants discussed the results of cooperation between Ukraine and the democratic forces of Belarus. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya stressed that the visit has become an important signal both for Belarusian society and the international community: Ukraine increasingly views Belarus as part of the regional security framework, while regarding the Lukashenka regime as a threat.

The discussions addressed sanctions against the Lukashenka regime, international accountability for crimes against humanity, support for Belarusian volunteer fighters, and joint educational and cultural initiatives.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “I sincerely believe that this visit is not merely symbolic. It lays the foundation for much deeper cooperation between Ukraine and democratic Belarus. On a personal level, my main goal during this visit was to show Ukrainians that we stand with them. And I think that over the past years, thanks to the hard work of many people and thanks to your support, attitudes toward Belarus have changed. Ukraine has clearly distinguished between the criminal regime and the Belarusian people”.
