Today, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met in Vilnius with Karmen Laus, Estonia’s new Special Representative for the Democratic Forces of Belarus.
The parties discussed:
- the current situation of political prisoners in Belarus and possible ways to secure their release;
- support for Belarusians in Estonia, including issues of legal documents, internship opportunities, and education;
- regional security, the Zapad‑2025 military exercise, and provocations by Russian drones;
- continued cooperation between Estonia and the democratic forces of Belarus.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “We truly appreciate that Estonia consistently stands alongside Belarusians. This year, the Representation of Democratic Belarus was established in Estonia as a symbol of our closeness and readiness for joint work. Estonia shares our position that a free Belarus is a guarantee of security for all of Europe”.
