The Belarusian leader, joined by her Сhief Advisor, Franak Viacorka, former political prisoner and activist, Anastasiya Bulybenka, and journalist and analyst, Hanna Liubakova, met with Haakon, the Crown Prince of Norway.
The discussion during the meeting focused on the situation with political prisoners in Belarus. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya informed the prince about the appalling conditions in Belarusian prisons and emphasized that many political prisoners are kept incommunicado.
Anastasiya Bulybenka shared the story of the two years she spent behind bars, where she ended up at the age of 19. The activist talked about being expelled from university, leaving Belarus, and her efforts to shed light on Belarus and the situation in the country through activism.
Additionally, the Norwegian and the Belarusian sides discussed the current situation with Belarusian independent media. Hanna Liubakova emphasized the importance of the media and the role they play in spreading true information about Belarus.
