  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed legalization of stay for Belarusians with Deputy Minister of Justice of Bulgaria

    As part of her working visit to Bulgaria, the Belarusian leader met with the country’s Deputy Minister of Justice, Emil Dechev, and former Bulgarian representative to the UN, Stefan Tafrov.

    During the meeting, the politicians discussed the legalization of stay for Belarusians in Bulgaria, apostille requirements, and recognition of expired Belarusian passports as valid, as well as support for the democratic forces of Belarus within the UN bodies. Additionally, they talked about holding the Lukashenka regime accountable through the International Criminal Court and the UN International Court of Justice.

    They also touched upon the situation regarding the detention of Andrei Hniot through Interpol in Serbia. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya stressed that the Lukashenka regime is attempting to use Interpol to persecute its political opponents in exile.
