As of August 27, 2025, according to human rights defenders, Belarus has 1,335 recognized political prisoners.
The #WithoutJustCause Congress is a two-day gathering of NGOs, initiatives, political prisoners, human rights defenders, and activists. Two days, two cities, one goal — to come together on one platform, unite efforts, and coordinate work for the release and support of political prisoners.
September 26, Warsaw. The first day of the Congress will be dedicated to:
- The overall human rights situation in Belarus.
- New trends in political repression against Belarusians.
- The work of political structures on the release and support of political prisoners.
September 28, Poznań. The second day of the Congress will be a platform for meetings, sharing ideas and problems, negotiating, and finding solutions:
- Activity Fair – a space where every organization or initiative helping political prisoners can present their work.
- Presentations by specialized NGOs and initiatives.
- Discussions in a Fishbowl format.

The event is organized by the Office of Belarus Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic in cooperation with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office, the United Transitional Cabinet, and partner organizations, including the Viasna Human Rights Center, Dissidentby, Volnyja, A Country to Live in Foundation — with the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.
