  • Rally against the Lukashenka regime’s hybrid attacks took place in Vilnius

    December 08, 2025

On December 7, a protest rally against the regime’s hybrid attacks was held near the Embassy of Belarus in Lithuania. Participants stressed that Lukashenka’s aggressive policy does not reflect the position of the Belarusian people.

A symbolic performance took place during the rally; representatives of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office set up a small installation near the embassy fence. They attached helium balloons with the words “Take – this – back” to several boxes. In this way, participants symbolically “returned” the regime’s own hybrid attacks and emphasized that Belarusian society does not support such actions.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office was represented by:

Hanna Krasulina: “This is not just smuggling. This is a threat to flight safety and part of the broader hybrid war that Russia and the Lukashenka regime are waging against Europe. We must counter this with our unity – not quarrel, but act together and develop joint responses to the aggressors”.

Stanislava Hlinnik: “I am here today because I have to say that I am Belarusian, and I oppose attacks against Lithuania from the territory of my country. I stand in solidarity with the people of Lithuania and want everyone to know that the majority of Belarusians do not support the Lukashenka regime’s aggression against its neighbours.”

Marharyta Vorykhava: “Hybrid attacks from Russia and Belarus are an attempt to test whether democracy will fracture under pressure. Each successful provocation – each airport closure or disruption in logistics – is an effort to sow discord and pressure democratic countries into making concessions to authoritarian actors. We are showing that democratic solidarity goes beyond national borders, and authoritarian pressure will not divide us”.

Hanna Zlyatkouskaya: “Being Belarusian today is difficult – you constantly have to prove that the regime’s actions contradict your personal moral principles. It is especially hard when you live in another country, and the dictatorship continues its attacks even here, where many of us first felt the breath of freedom in years. That is why it is so important to show Lithuania and Lithuanians that we, Belarusians, reject everything that comes from the Lukashenka system”.
