In a new video, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Diplomatic Advisor, Dzianis Kuchynski, speaks on the results of the work of the OST Foreign Policy Department during the visits to Canada and Mallorca.
Following the visit, Canada announced 1 million CAD support for Belarus’ independent media, as well as new sanctions against the regime. In addition, Canada and democratic Belarus initiated strategic consultations on issues like human rights, countering disinformation, and others.
Democratic Belarus was also invited to the G7 ministers’ meeting. As a result of the discussions, Belarus was included in the summit’s final communiqué.
During her visit to Mallorca, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya participated in the Conference of the Speakers of the EU Parliaments. During the official part of the event, she addressed 37 speakers, calling for more support for Belarusians.
Dzianis Kuchynski concludes that Belarus’ participation in such events proves that the international community supports the Belarusian people in their fight for democracy and a European future.
