Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’ Office is working to solve the following issues:
- Frozen bank accounts of Belarusian citizens. Valery Kavaleuski held a meeting with the leadership of the National Bank of Ukraine to discuss the issue. A large group of Belarusians have already been released from restrictions and regained access to their accounts. The problem is not yet fully resolved, but some progress has been made.
- Suspended extension of residence permits for Belarusians in Ukraine. Mr. Kavaleuski met with the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets. The People's Deputy promised to use various mechanisms to tackle the problem. This is a complex issue, but the legislators and government agencies are willing to solve it.
- Lukashenka’s involvement in the war. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya’s Representative and the Ukrainian authorities discussed Lukashenka’s role in the war and prospects for bringing it to the public level. The Ukrainian government must not make trade-offs with Lukashenka after the war.
