“Day by day, we read news that gives us the creeps: water in the whole district was cut-off, dismissals for political stands, detentions for managing a Telegram channel. And all of these actions were taken by a particular individual, who signed an order.
And their employees' records do not necessarily say politruk or “ideologist”, but that is exactly what they do – work to support and protect the regime. Ideologists may intimidate when one person confronts them. But when everybody stands against them, they are powerless.
Ideologists’ guidance harms Belarusians. Resist!
• Leave the pro-governmental trade unions, BRSM, pioneer organizations, “Belaya Rus”.
• Join independent trade unions that protect people’s interests, not ideologists’.
• Refuse subscribing to their newspapers.
• Don’t participate in ideologist events, refuse going on pro-government rallies and marches.
• Don’t follow illegal orders. Join with like-minded people, it’s much easier to do it together.
• Publicize ideologists’ names via Telegram channels, trade unions and districts’ chats – let the regime accomplices be famous in the whole country.
Thanks to Belarusians’ resistance, the regime couldn’t gather a huge demonstration in Minsk. Solidarity of the whole workshop allowed to defend three workers of BelAZ, who were going to be dismissed for participating in the strike. Doctors of Minsk regional hospital were able to defend their colleagues from dismissal due to political reasons, by stating that everyone would have to be dismissed in that case. Residents of Novaya Borovaya hang out a poster with the names of people involved in water cut-offs. All of these actions help to name ideologists, set aside ideologists’ decisions, which means to also neutralize ideologists.
The state seems to be monolithic as long as you are ready to obey their accomplices, who stay off the grid. But all of them are afraid of your solidarity and exposure of their actions. Do not be afraid to talk out loud about those who commit repressions. And then, their names will get on the sanctions’ list for everything they have done”.
