The Belarusian leader met with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark at a reception for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Summit in Copenhagen. She spoke about the situation in Belarus and emphasized that Belarusians have not given up their hopes of Belarus as a democratic and European country. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also met with the Belarusian diaspora in Denmark and thanked them for their activism and work in keeping Belarus on the agenda and supporting Ukraine.
Today, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will receive the NATO Parliamentary Assembly “Women for Peace and Security” Award, which celebrates women who have made an outstanding contribution to shaping a secure world.
During the visit, the Belarusian leader is also scheduled to meet with the President of the NATO PA, the Danish Foreign Minister, the Speaker of Parliament, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
