Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya received an invitation from the Holy See to form a delegation from the democratic forces of Belarus to attend the funeral of Pope Francis in the Vatican, which will take place on Saturday morning.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya has appointed her Diplomatic Advisor, Dzianis Kuchynski, to lead the delegation and take part in the official funeral events. Mr. Kuchynski is a practicing Catholic and has been responsible for relations with the Vatican in Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office in recent years.
