Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Diplomatic Advisor, Dzianis Kuchynski, held a meeting with Poland’s Foreign Minister’s Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with the Democratic Forces of Belarus, Adam Hałaciński, and Deputy Director of the Eastern Department at Poland’s MFA, Grzegorz Poznański.
The meeting focused on key areas of strategic cooperation between Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya’s Office, as well as joint activities planned for this year.
Dzianis Kuchynski expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Poland for their consistent support for Belarus’s democratic movement, solidarity, and assistance to Belarusians in exile.
The meeting also addressed international protection (asylum) and the growing number of refusals to Belarusian citizens. However, Poland’s policy towards Belarusians has not changed. In many cases, refusals are due to insufficient evidence, a lack of proof of individual risks, or insufficiently substantiated applications.

The parties discussed joint measures to counter the regime’s information campaign targeting Poland and the democratic forces. This included attempts by the regime’s propaganda to use historical distortions, manipulation, and disinformation to fuel xenophobia and drive a wedge between Belarusians and Poles.
Dzianis Kuchynski also provided updates on the current activities of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office in Vilnius and Warsaw.
