    May 06, 2026

During their visit to Yerevan, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Diplomatic Advisor, Dzianis Kuchynski, and Advisor on Parliamentary Cooperation, Anatoli Liabedzka, held a meeting in the Armenian Parliament with the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Rustam Bakoyan.

The discussion focused on the human rights situation, prospects for parliamentary cooperation, support for Belarusians, and the exchange of experience.

A key topic was the creation of a For a Democratic Belarus Group in the Armenian Parliament. The sides noted that this requires time and political consensus and agreed to return to the issue after the upcoming parliamentary election in the country. They also agreed on the need for expanding parliamentary support for Belarus at the international level.

Anatoli Liabedzka: “Parliamentary engagement is another important track of our work. We are steadily expanding the network of support for Belarus; such groups are already active in Moldova and Ukraine, and Armenia is the next goal”.
