On June 13, the Democratic Belarus team took first place in the Ambassadors’ Cup 2026, an international charity football tournament in Vilnius. The Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya was represented on the Belarusian team by its Director, Dzianis Kuchynski.
For the fifth consecutive year, the tournament has brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, government institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations for an important cause: supporting children from low-income families and families of Ukrainian refugees, helping them participate in sports, develop in a safe environment, and gain new opportunities for their future.
In the final, the Democratic Belarus team faced the team of the Office of the President of Lithuania, including President Gitanas Nausėda himself.
Dzianis Kuchynski introduced the Belarusian team to President Nausėda, who, in turn, wished the Belarusians success — both in sports and in their struggle for a free and democratic Belarus.
Dzianis Kuchynski: “The final against the Lithuanian President’s team was especially symbolic. It is a great example of how the leader of a free and democratic country finds time to take part in charitable initiatives alongside citizens and diplomats. In competitions like this, what matters most is not who wins but the good cause that brings everyone together”.

The Democratic Belarus team was also supported by the owners of the Belarusian bakery Dvi Bandelės in Vilnius. They treated tournament participants to their pastries and presented some of their signature baked goods to President Nausėda.
