This year’s Prize was awarded to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the People of Ukraine. Last year, it was awarded to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Veranika Tsapkala, and Maryia Kalesnikava.
Yesterday, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya recorded a video address congratulating Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the People of Ukraine on receiving the Charlemagne Prize: “My heartfelt congratulations to President Zelenskyy and the People of Ukraine on being awarded the Charlemagne Prize. Let us together banish dictators to the past and build a common future in friendship.”
During the visit, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is scheduled to deliver several speeches and join the rally honoring the 2023 Prize.
