On February 2, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskayaya and United Transitional Cabinet Representative for National Revival Alina Koushyk met with the heads of the Belarusian Council for Culture Siarhei Budkin and Ales Chakhouski. The meeting took place at Sviatlana Tsikhanouskayaya's Office in Vilnius.
The Belarusian Council for Culture spoke about the results of its work in 2022. Throughout the year, the Council advised or assisted 360 representatives of the creative sphere.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked the Council’s representatives for their work and urged them to be open to all artists and initiatives that strengthen the Belarusian culture and national identity.
It is planned to organize the Days of Belarusian Culture in different countries around the world in the summer of 2023, launch an art management school, and hold a Belarusian Cultural Code event. The Council has partnered with the Danish Cultural Institute for the ArtPower Belarus project, which will support 50 cultural initiatives.
Previously, on the proposal of the Council for Culture, the United Transitional Cabinet adopted a resolution recognizing the crimes of Communism.
