On October 20-21, the Belarusian leader is on a visit to Moldova for the first time at the invitation of President Maia Sandu.
Today, the two leaders discussed the situation in Moldova and Belarus, as well as closer cooperation on the international stage. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya spoke about the democratic forces' decision to seek a European perspective for Belarus and expressed support for President Sandu on Moldova's path to Europe.
“I believe this visit to Moldova opens a new page for Belarus-Moldova relations. Our people have gone through various trials. Now we are united by common interests and goals. I am glad that democratic Belarus has an ally like Moldova”, emphasized Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
