On March 20, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya spoke at the official opening of the 11th ordinary session of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor for Constitutional Reform and Interparliamentary Cooperation, Anatoli Liabedzka, discusses the main outcomes of the session:
- Ten seats allocated for Belarus in the Parliamentary Assembly were not vacant. These seats were occupied by the representatives of democratic forces in Belarus as observers. Ten people spoke unanimously about the rigged elections in Belarus, the European perspective for Belarus, and the issue of political prisoners.
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s team and representatives of the democratic forces proposed multifaceted integration, interaction, and cooperation with parliamentary communities of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This means that Belarus’ democratic forces have separate plans for relations and cooperation with each delegation.
