Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Economic Reforms, Aleś Alachnovič, steps down from the Office due to personal reasons.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Aleś Alachnovič joined our team in 2020 and ensured that our work on economic issues was carried out at a professional level. He united more than 60 renowned economists from different countries, coordinated cooperation with think tanks, and helped to develop reform programs – from financial stability to the green economy – and worked on the New Belarus Transition Strategy.
Now Aleś is leaving due to personal reasons. I am deeply grateful to him for five years of joint work. And I am sincerely confident that his experience, professionalism, and energy will certainly be used for economic development in New Belarus”.
Aleś Alachnovič: “It was a great honor for me to be of service to my people in a difficult historical moment. These five years were of great responsibility and tough challenges, but also a time of inspiration – meeting a wide circle of talented people from whom I learned a lot.
I thank Madam President for her trust and the opportunity to work in the team. I am sincerely grateful to my colleagues from the Office and the Economic Team, as well as all partners, the media, diasporas, governments, and international institutions with whom I cooperated. Together, we achieved a lot.
I have not the slightest doubt that truth and victory will be on our side. We will definitely meet again in New Belarus!”
At the New Belarus Conference, Alisa Ryzhychenka was introduced as the new Representative for Economy and Finance at the United Transitional Cabinet. The economic direction will continue to develop under her leadership.
