Today, on July 19, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will hold a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Washington. They will discuss how the US can provide repressed Belarusians and civil society with effective support, the imposition of new sanctions against the regime, and closing the loopholes in the ones already imposed. Tsikhanouskaya will also meet with the Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and the Counselor of the US Department of State Derek Chollet.
On Tuesday Tsikhanouskaya will meet the United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in the White House. She will also visit the Senate and meet Senators Menendez, Rich, Shaheen, Portman and others.
The remaining work program will last until July 23. From July 24 to July 27 Tsikhanouskaya will fly to meetings to New York, on July 28-29 to San Francisco, and on July 30-31 she will end the visit in Los Angeles. The details of the program in other cities will be published later.
