“I am here to defend Belarusians’ interests”. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya arrived at the UN General Assembly

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “I came here to defend the interests of Belarusians. I will speak about our political prisoners to convey that urgent action is needed to free them. I will talk about the threat to our independence to highlight that Russia must withdraw its troops and its nuclear weapons from our country. I will speak about accountability for those supporting the regime that has seized and illegally retained power. I will talk about new passports to make sure that Belarusians can legally stay and work abroad. I will speak the truth, unlike the representatives of the regime who will lie during the sessions about a safe and blossoming Belarus”.
