During her working visit to Bucharest, the Belarusian leader met with the Estonian delegation, which included former Estonian foreign minister, Urmas Reinsalu, and former commander of the Estonian Army, Riho Terras.
The parties discussed holding joint events, as well as the work of the group “For a Democratic Belarus” in the Estonian parliament, chaired by Urmas Reinsalu.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya urged parliamentarians not to bring restrictions against Belarusians in synch with those against Russians, and to refrain from adopting a law prohibiting Belarusians with permanent residency from voting in municipal elections in Estonia.
Additionally, the leader emphasized the need to facilitate the mobility of Belarusians by maintaining passenger traffic and continuing visa issuance.
