Ihor Kyzym was assigned the Ambassador-at-Large of Ukraine for Belarus on February 2, 2024. On February 23, on the eve of the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya received Kyzym in her Office.
The Belarusian leader congratulated Mr. Kyzym on his appointment and expressed her solidarity and support for Ukraine. The politicians discussed the Belarus-Ukraine dialogue and possible cooperation between democratic Belarus and Ukraine.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also thanked Mr. Kyzym for his work in Belarus, where he served as the last Ambassador of Ukraine so far from 2017 to 2023.
